Paul had gone to live in the countryside with his parents. Now he's back in Vienna with his mother. His parents have separated, and Paul is taking it very badly. He wants to stay with his father and for the two of them to be together.

Susi was Paul's best friend when he left. Now that he's back, Susi doesn't like him as much anymore. She thinks Paul is a brag, always bragging about the things his father does. He hasn't told anyone that his parents have separated, not even Susi. Susi thinks he's become unbearable.

Eventually, Paul accepts his situation and stops boasting by telling lies. Susi starts to like Paul again. In the end, they become friends once more.
